This
will bring the iOS factory in line with that for other platforms
(see SyncServiceFactory::ServiceIsNULLWhileTesting()).

This CL was uploaded by git cl split.

R=rohitrao@chromium.org

Bug: 517225028
Change-Id: I44395198e1559ff5ff14b5743bbfb1e4c5ca3809
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/7947240
Auto-Submit: Marc Treib <treib@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Rohit Rao <rohitrao@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Rohit Rao <rohitrao@chromium.org>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1653597}",

This map is
responsible for recording Origin-Agent-Cluster outcomes for origins
within a particular BrowsingInstance, ensuring that site-keyed vs
origin-keyed isolation of an origin stays consistent over the lifetime
of the BrowsingInstance. The functions that manage this map now have
both Rust and C++ implementations, gated behind the RUST_CPP_* macros.

On the C++ side, the per-origin state is tracked using
OriginAgentClusterIsolationState, a class with two OACStatus enums,
one for logical OAC isolation and one for process isolation. On the
Rust side, we represent the same state with a new single enum that has
six possible values, representing just the valid combinations of the
two C++ enums. This guarantees at compile time that invalid states
(such as process isolation without logical isolation) are impossible
to represent, rather than relying on runtime checks. For now, we don't
make this change on the C++ side, as it would be a large and
disruptive for AgentClusterKey and its uses, but this could be
explored in a followup.

Bug: 482216433
Change-Id: Icd51bee449316f65f9c75a12acb4103e52fbbb8b
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/7960340
Commit-Queue: Alex Moshchuk <alexmos@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Liam Brady <lbrady@google.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1653598}",

When
occluded or clipped off-screen, critical security UI elements (app name,
icon, and initiating origin) are hidden, allowing attackers to spoof app
identity.

Previously, kMinBoundsForInstallDialog (50px) was used as a global
buffer to prevent macOS install dialogs from immediately self-closing
upon opening due to minor Cocoa sheet decorations and Retina DIP
rounding. Strict absolute minimum height checks caused regressions where
legitimate install prompts closed immediately on macOS presentation.

This change removes kMinBoundsForInstallDialog and introduces struct
MaxAllowedShrinkage { int max_width_shrinkage; int max_height_shrinkage;
}, allowing customized maximum shrinkage thresholds per dialog type.
Through manual testing and geometry logging, these are tuned to:
- Simple PWA dialogs: 40px width, 20px height shrinkage tolerance.
- Detailed PWA dialogs: 100px width, 150px height shrinkage tolerance.
- DIY and Launch dialogs: 50px width, 50px height shrinkage tolerance.

If constrained beyond these thresholds, dialogs automatically abort
reporting kIgnored.

WebAppLaunchDialogBrowserTest
TAG=agy
CONV=8d4eec4f-ab33-44b3-80f2-2a6e6f2b5704

Bug: 407283320
Test: Ran WebAppInstallDialogBrowserTest, WebAppInstallFlowBrowserTest,
Change-Id: I7309e578f4f3819c89a4f3b668617504228b8607
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/7997505
Reviewed-by: Dibyajyoti Pal <dibyapal@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Daniel Murphy <dmurph@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Kunjan Patel <ksukh@chromium.org>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1653558}
This CL reverts two commits:
1) commit e585ba13ce9ed5667530a315850713c1eeb3cd20. This migrated the
 installation of sync and policy-installed extensions to use
 update_client (the main issue).
2) commit 204edb6f0ac528f880c1775ac30ea63861b659ab. This fixed a
 different issue from that CL and built on top of it, so needs to be
 reverted along with it.

Reason for revert:
This CL causes new extensions installed from sync to be installed in a
disabled state due to not auto-granting permissions for sync'd
extensions.

In the old system, we would install a new extension from sync and, if
the version exactly matched the version that was approved by the user on
another device, would auto-approve the permissions. In the new flow,
this permission grant is missing, resulting in the extension being
disabled.

Since increased permissions are a syncable disable reason, this then
also has the potential to percolate out to other devices. On the upside,
the other device should still have the stored approved permissions,
which means the extension will be re-enabled on next startup -- unless
sync gets in the way (see bug).

Hand edits: There were a number of merge conflicts since the
UpdateServiceTests were ported to desktop android in commit 2f8bc8ac130.
Unfortunately, these updates did not handle the old flow. For now, these
tests are (unfortunately) instead disabled on desktop android.

I'll look at relanding this later once we have a chance to ensure we
have proper regression tests and fixes for this functionality, but given
this is going to need to be merged back, a revert is safest.

Bug: 524951740
Change-Id: I047ce39787709299c8dfc49c21b327b289d43b8f
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8012264
Commit-Queue: Devlin Cronin <rdevlin.cronin@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Andrea Orru <andreaorru@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Erik Chen <erikchen@chromium.org>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1653509}
Disable reasons may be synced. To catch these, the
ExtensionSyncService listens to when they're changed, and then
notifies the sync service.

However, it's possible the extension hasn't loaded yet, in which
case the ExtensionSyncService waits for the extension. The issue is
that it only does this via OnExtensionInstalled(). This is normally
good enough, but not always. In particular, we look for extensions that
are erroneously disabled for permissions increase when they are being
added, and will re-enable them if they were. But, since we do this
before the extension is added to the registry, the sync service
doesn't pick this up.

This results in the following broken flow:
* Extension is disabled (erroneously) for increased permissions (due
 to a bug, bad state, etc)
* This percolates out to the sync server and down to other devices.
* On startup, the other device will realize the extension shouldn't
 be disabled, and will re-enable it. But, this will be ignored by
 the sync service.
* Then, sync starts up, and extension state is merged -- disabling the
 extension again.

Fix this by marking the extension as "needing sync" if the extension
disable reasons are updated during load. Then, when the extension is
loaded, or when sync starts, these changes will be pushed and sync
changes will be ignored.

Add a regression test for this behavior.

Bug: 524951740
Change-Id: I67e56e293668289a6d66943c3a89d62275e4b935
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8013432
Reviewed-by: Andrea Orru <andreaorru@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Devlin Cronin <rdevlin.cronin@chromium.org>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1653531}",
