Previously, setting boundaries via setStartBefore() and setEndAfter()
initiated sibling walks to compute offsets, causing O(n^2) behavior when
selecting multiple sequential nodes in a large container.

In this CL, a fast path is introduced that leverages
RangeBoundaryPoint's lazy evaluations. By using SetToBeforeChild() and a
new SetToAfterChild() helper, boundaries are stored relative to the
sibling node, allowing the integer offset to be computed on demand.
Because both boundaries share a container and are inherently ordered by
construction, collapse checks and immediate offset calculations are
avoided completely.

This optimization is guarded behind the new RangeBoundaryFastPath
runtime enabled feature flag.

Perf measurement: measured selectNode() over N=20000 siblings in a
local release build. 16101.2 ms -> 31.3 ms (~514x faster) with the flag
enabled.

No behavior change.
This reverts commit 7981ac03ebc0e68d3dc966100b1ea58ca66579ce.

Reason for revert: crbug.com/536119038 , Crashes spiked on Windows Canary 152.0.7956.0 in the Chrome Installer process, reaching 43K+ crashes across 43k+ unique clients.

Failure Link: crbug.com/536119038 , crash link : go/wjwsh

Original change's description:
> Metrics: Log PMA UsedPct dynamically from processing processes
>
> The UMA.PersistentAllocator.CrashpadMetrics.UsedPct metric was missing
> because Crashpad does not have a background thread to call
> PersistentMemoryAllocator::UpdateTrackingHistograms(). Previously, this
> method computed the used percentage and wrote it to an internal
> histogram (used_histogram_) within the .pma file, which was later
> merged by the browser.
>
> This CL updates the design to report these metrics entirely from the
> browser (or processing) process:
> 1. Removed `used_histogram_` from PersistentMemoryAllocator.
> 2. Updated PersistentMemoryAllocator::UpdateTrackingHistograms() to
> log directly to the local StatisticsRecorder instead of writing to
> the .pma file.
> 3. Updated FileMetricsProvider to call UpdateTrackingHistograms() for
> all processed source allocators, ensuring Crashpad's memory usage is
> reported.
> 4. Left CreateTrackingHistograms() as a no-op to maintain backward
> compatibility with Crashpad upstream.
>
> TAG=agy
> CONV=313cf72a-657a-421a-8952-7bc60505e694
>
> Bug: 40282757
> Change-Id: I24f4fba3e1d640c88021e12ecefd3b2f233113f4
> Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8057947
> Reviewed-by: Luc Nguyen <lucnguyen@google.com>
> Commit-Queue: Roger McFarlane <rogerm@chromium.org>
> Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1663384}

Bug: 40282757 , 536119038
Bug: 40282757
Change-Id: Id10f631ca3aa3871208ca5c11fa9bd64b77ca96f
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8116370
Reviewed-by: Roger McFarlane <rogerm@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Roger McFarlane <rogerm@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Krishna Govind <govind@chromium.org>
Bot-Commit: rubber-stamper@appspot.gserviceaccount.com <rubber-stamper@appspot.gserviceaccount.com>
Commit-Queue: Prudhvikumar Bommana <pbommana@google.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1664256}
This change addresses issues with stale contextual search tokens
remaining tracked when a tab's content changes (recontextualization). It
prevents state leakage during context deletion and submitting the query
since it ensures the delete/prune action is represented for all context
states like uploaded context or submitted context. It ensures that the
submitted context and uploaded context states do not assume that the
server has already responded or chrome has processed that response in a
timely matter before the current function has run.

Part A - when a tab's URL changes, a new token is generated for the
updated content for recontextualization. Now, remove the old stale token
from the uploaded and submitted context lists before submitting query.
Submitted context list is cleaned out in case the server from a past
turn has not responded yet, or Chrome has not processed that response
yet, meaning potentially recontextualized tabs have old tokens in this
list still. This saves memory and ensures there are no stale tokens sent
to the server.

Part B - when a user explicitly deletes a tab from the context,
recursively find and remove all other historical/stale tokens associated
with that tab's session ID from our tracking structures. This is not
strictly necessary since `submitted_context_tokens` is cleared when the
server responds (in context library), but in case a delete file request
is processed after submission due to latency, this ensures the backend
model is up to date until the server responds.

Note that `submitted_context_tokens` after submission can be populated
if a thread is changed immediately before the server responds, and then
the user then goes back to that thread. This is because `openUrl` takes
past historical submitted tokens from that thread when reloading a
thread.

Both part A and B are needed to maintain the state according to the
delete or prune action.

Also:
* Add tests.
* Use helper functions to avoid redundancy and make certain checks
  more robust and clear.

flag on - screencast/cast/NjY4MTkzNTM4MzM2MzU4NHw5ZTAxYThmMi0zNw

flag off - screencast/cast/NjI1Njc2NDk2OTI4NzY4MHw1YjI4MWVkNS02Yw

Bug: b:536078165
Change-Id: Ifaf969463a2c3907028057c08969f0964b62f873
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8078001
Commit-Queue: James Leung <jamesleung@google.com>
Reviewed-by: Jason Hu <hujasonx@google.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1664249}",

Now, if a user fails hardware
specifications, they are blocked at the foundational level. The entry
point is hidden, and `IsProfileEligible` correctly prevents the backend
services from starting.

Previously, if a user had onboarded to Glic locally but subsequently
failed the minimum system requirements on that same device (e.g. due to
a stricter Finch RAM threshold rolling out, or dynamic OS memory
reporting fluctuating below the requirement like on a VM that resizes),
Glic would incorrectly keep the entry point active via the
IsAnchoredButIneligible check.

We observed this happening in Beta telemetry, with users falling into
the SystemRequirementNotMet bucket of
AnchoredDespiteEligibilityReason.Startup. This was dangerous because the
anchor override would force the browser to instantiate heavy backend
infrastructure on unsupported hardware, exposing the user to broken or
lagging UI.

This change ensures that system requirement failures act as absolute
blockers. The anchor fallback state is now strictly reserved for "soft"
disablements, guaranteeing that underpowered devices are safely disabled
regardless of their prior onboarding state.

Bug: b:505469813
Change-Id: I4d2328a7dd597bbedf715ac6363770c06a6a6964
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8088199
Reviewed-by: Carlos Knippschild <carlosk@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Nick Birnie <birnie@google.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1664231}",

So,
by calling hideAutofillPopup() before onSuggestionsReturned(), we
consume this callback and are not able to show suggestions afterwards.

Fixing this relationship on iOS seems to be complex, so we opt for a
simpler solution for now: Addressing the problematic early return
described in the bug report.

This is less secure, as any early-return between AED::OnQuery() and
AED::AttemptToDisplayAutofillSuggestions() could cause a similar
vulnerability, but still seems better than the status quo.

Fixed: 524698525
Change-Id: I0728efb07bee59d8b431824f2714064590a41374
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8117887
Reviewed-by: Jan Keitel <jkeitel@google.com>
Auto-Submit: Jihad Hanna <jihadghanna@google.com>
Commit-Queue: Jan Keitel <jkeitel@google.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1664346}",

So we need to manually
set tab item's start margin to keep it centered when collapsed.

Calculation:
- Collapsed rail width: 76dp (center at 38dp).
- Rail container horizontal padding: 12dp on start and end.
- A 32dp tab item centered in the 76dp rail must start at 22dp (38dp - 16dp) from the rail start edge.
- To offset the RecyclerView's position and visually center the item in the rail, the item requires a start margin of 22dp - 12dp = 10dp (vertical_tab_child_collapsed_margin_start).

Bug: 527641177
Change-Id: Ie90b4d9afbe926e7cc2db81a1fb08cae484f7dc8
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8120767
Reviewed-by: Theresa Wellington <twellington@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Gazal Agarwal <agazal@google.com>
Commit-Queue: Hao Dong <spdonghao@google.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1664276}",

The remaining space at the bottom is now the raw background surface of the root vertical_tab_rail_container itself.

This CL adds the empty space context menu logic to the root container so that the empty space cm can appear below the new tab button.

We still keep the localized empty space context menu logic for each child surface (the 2 recycler views, header, window drag spacer), which overrides the root container's catch-all logic, for better customization and insulation in case of future layout changes.

Bug: 521982129
Change-Id: I2f1d5ac19fc011ed3502f7a1ded2a63f94dae361
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8121032
Reviewed-by: Gazal Agarwal <agazal@google.com>
Commit-Queue: Eleanor Lee <eleanorlee@google.com>
Commit-Queue: Gazal Agarwal <agazal@google.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1664289}",
