Automatic update from web-platform-tests
WebMCP: Remove the ModelContextTesting API

This CL removes the ModelContextTesting API. It's a reland of https://crrev.com/c/7895790, which was reverted in
https://crrev.com/c/7959699. The CL was reverted due to the
`virtual/webmcp/inspector-protocol/webmcp/log-tool-calls.js` timing out
on overloaded bots.

That test originally asserted that the modelContextTesting API could
abort a long-running (10 second!) tool. Since aborting a tool call for
the production modelContext API is still in progress (see
https://crbug.com/481899636), any CL replacing usages of
modelContextTesting with modelContext has to accept that the
long-running tool will run to completion, instead of being aborted
correctly. On particularly busy bots, the 10-second tool could exceed
the bot's timeout window, and fail with a timeout.

This CL adjusts the 10-second tool to a 50-ms tool, so that it runs
quickly. This is kind of fudging that particular inspector test, but the
timeout will be reverted back to its long 10-second timeout once
https://crrev.com/c/8025300 lands, implementing tool abort support for
the production modelContext API.

R=beaufort.francois@gmail.com, nasko

Bug: 515272366
Change-Id: I695ad7479d1b90de3d1edb705e71532e4b160957
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8062045
Reviewed-by: Fr <beaufort.francois@gmail.com>
Reviewed-by: Dave Tapuska <dtapuska@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Dominic Farolino <dom@chromium.org>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1658818}

--

wpt-commits: ed76dd926b0ca18aafb188452f9ccf746be8bff4
wpt-pr: 61137
Automatic update from web-platform-tests
Reland "gamepad: Check Permissions Policy when binding Mojo interfaces"

This is a reland of commit db75f6e59c46921c91def1afd42b6f5f6e4246f with
fixes to prevent renderer crashes when gamepad access is blocked.

Original CL description:
> GamepadMonitor::Create() and GamepadHapticsManager::Create() were
> missing browser-side checks for the "gamepad" Permissions Policy. This
> allowed a compromised renderer to bypass renderer-side checks and access
> gamepad data or trigger haptics by binding the Mojo interfaces directly.
>
> This CL adds the missing checks in browser_interface_binders.cc using
> lambda wrappers to check if the feature is enabled for the
> RenderFrameHost before binding the receiver.

Fixes included in this reland:
- In the renderer (`GamepadSharedMemoryReader` and `GamepadDispatcher`),
verify that `PermissionsPolicyFeature::kGamepad` is enabled before
attempting to bind `GamepadMonitor` or `GamepadHapticsManager`.
Previously, these were bound unconditionally, which triggered the
newly added browser-side bad message enforcement and killed the
renderer when the policy was blocked (e.g. in WebView).
- Guarding these changes with the `kEnforceGamepadPermissionsPolicy`
 feature flag

Verified locally with a test debug page.

Bug: 490277996
Change-Id: I0702f042e8474710d02ca7c64cde9711e669f540
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/7927669
Reviewed-by: Roger McFarlane <rogerm@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Avi Drissman <avi@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Matt Reynolds <mattreynolds@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Rob Pitkin <robpitkin@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Fred Shih <ffred@chromium.org>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1659152}

--

wpt-commits: a81cf0688ace0e14ef6732ec4151cfe24ea546a9
wpt-pr: 61169
Automatic update from web-platform-tests
[Masonry] Fix subgrid sizing with scroll containers

This CL fixes several issues with grid-lanes subgrids that are scroll
containers, and adds WPT coverage for them:

- Rebuilt (auto-placed) subgrids now resolve their standalone-axis
fragment geometry against the definite available size by passing the
 sizing subtree to `CalculateInitialFragmentGeometryForSubgrid`. This
matches the initial track-sizing pass, so all sibling subgrids are
sized consistently instead of falling back to max-content.

- `LayoutBox::HasScrollbarGutters()` now returns `false` when the box
does not respect CSS overflow, so no scrollbar gutter is reserved
for boxes that can never show scrollbars.

- `LayoutFieldset` now propagates scrollbar-gutter to its anonymous
content box, fixing scrollbar-gutter handling on fieldsets.

The latter two cases were needed to fix a grid subgrid test, and
consequently the equivalent grid lanes subgrid test added in this
change. This bug wasn't actually subgrid specific, but these tests
were the ones that exposed the bug.

These tests follow the same pattern of a few tests in the grid
subgrid directory missing in grid lanes.

Bug: 343257585, 40475877
Change-Id: I7f786b435fc7521e2f45e1a619ec28ea683566f0
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8057144
Reviewed-by: Ian Kilpatrick <ikilpatrick@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Alison Maher <almaher@microsoft.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1658190}

--

wpt-commits: 2b29397707cc897509e61a74ca76f4dc8776b1bb
wpt-pr: 61129",

This causes HasBlockingWheelEventHandlerAt()
to miss, and HandleMouseWheel() incorrectly drops the event instead of
forwarding it to the main thread.

Fix this by tracking pointer lock state in InputHandlerProxy with a new
is_pointer_locked_ flag. When set, HandleMouseWheel() returns
DID_NOT_HANDLE.

PointerLockController sets the flag in DidAcquirePointerLock() and
clears it in ExitPointerLock(), posting a task that sets the flag on
the input thread through WidgetInputHandlerManager.

A WPT test pointerlock/pointerlock_wheel_event_outside_target.html is
added with failure on chaining scroll from the pointer-locked element,
which will be handled by a separate CL (crbug.com/530589456).

Bug: 497060679, 530589456
Change-Id: Ib5635d79d13d852b3426c3665716ec629cecc754
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8022943
Reviewed-by: Robert Flack <flackr@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Byungwoo Lee <blee@igalia.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1658459}

--

wpt-commits: 488fe03e180e94f7d0739542f6192307e261100e
wpt-pr: 61125",

Move it from
a `.sys.mjs` system module to a `content/` `.mjs` (registered in `jar.mn`,
dropped from `moz.build`) and import it statically, as content modules must be.

With the proxy built content-side, controller construction becomes symmetric:
`UrlbarChildController` builds `#parent` for both transports -- a real
`UrlbarParentController` in place on the direct path, a
`UrlbarParentControllerProxy` on the message path -- keyed on a new
`UrlbarChild.usesMessagePath` predicate. The actor no longer builds or caches the
direct-path controller: `getOrCreateController` and its `#controllers` WeakMap are
gone. That caching only deduped by input element, which `<moz-urlbar>` already
does (it runs `#init()` only when it has no controller and never clears it on
disconnect), so the WeakMap never served a hit.

Behavior-neutral on both paths in chrome. It
worked around this by pre-fetching the data with each QueryResults notification
and stashing it on a non-enumerable `viewData` expando that the view read back.

Compute it eagerly instead, when the result is finalized in
UrlbarProvidersManager, and store it on UrlbarResult as `viewTemplate` and
`commands`. Both are serialized by toWire()/fromWire(), so the view reads them
synchronously on both transports without a round-trip or the expando (and its
deepEqual/serialization hazard). getViewUpdate stays dynamic and round-trips.

Static per-result data a provider parked in getViewUpdate moves to the baked
template too: RealtimeSuggestProvider set the result's navigation url/query on
the row's dataset from getViewUpdate, so on the message path a click resolved no
URL until that async update landed. Baking the dataset into getViewTemplate makes
it present when the row is built; only genuinely dynamic per-item data (text,
images, aria group) stays in getViewUpdate.

Because the commands are baked, a provider that changes them while the result
stays in the view must refresh the baked value, not just drop the view's command
cache -- reaching the "show less frequently" cap removes that command, and the
stale baked commands would otherwise keep it. Consolidate the show-less-frequently
handling each suggestion provider inlined into a shared
SuggestProvider.handleShowLessFrequently that re-bakes the result's commands, so
the refresh lives in one place rather than being repeated (and missable) per
provider.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D310082",

And because a tab-close trigger's browser is
gone by the time the async trigger message is handled, the collector hands the
parent the live browser when tracking starts (TrackBounceBrowser), held until the
trigger; the direct path resolves the live browser synchronously and doesn't need
it.

The assert{Engagement,Abandonment,Exposure,Bounce}Telemetry helpers now await
recording (they resolve immediately in-process) so tests don't race the actor
round-trip -- that's why several tests gained awaits.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D310591",

The engagement/abandonment Glean event was built
inline in the parent recorder; this moves the building into pure
UrlbarTelemetryUtils statics and routes the recorder through a single
recordFromChild() entry point (which fills the parent-only fields -- sap, default
engine, semantic sources -- and makes the Glean call).

Nothing changes on the direct path: it builds via the same statics and calls
recordFromChild() in-process, producing identical events -- that equivalence is
what to check here. The point of the move is that the statics are pure, so the
next commit's content-side collector can build the event and hand it to the same
recordFromChild() over the actor. The new xpcshell test pins the wire round-trip.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D310595
Automatic update from web-platform-tests
[line-clamp] Fix bug with `-webkit-line-clamp` clamping by height

Unprefixed `line-clamp` has a mode (`line-clamp: 3 auto`) where it
clamps to the number of lines, or to whatever fits in the
`(max-)height`, whichever is earlier. The prefixed
`-webkit-line-clamp` property should not map to this mode, instead
only clamping by lines; but starting in M150, if the `CSSLineClamp`
runtime feature is disabled, it does clamp by height as well.

This bug seems to have been introduced in https://crrev.com/c/7798160,
which added `auto` mode. The reason for this bug is that, with the
`CSSLineClamp` feature on, both `-webkit-line-clamp` and `line-clamp`
are shorthands, with `max-lines` as one of the longhands, which stores
the number of lines and the `auto` state. To check whether to clamp by
height, then, `BlockLayoutAlgorithm::SetupLineClamp` checked whether
`max-lines` had the `auto` keyword.

However, without the `CSSLineClamp` feature, `-webkit-line-clamp` is
a longhand property. When checking whether clamping should happen
(`ComputedStyle::HasLineClamp`), and the number of lines to clamp at
(`ComputedStyle::LineClamp`), the feature is checked, and if it's
disabled, the `-webkit-line-clamp` property value is used. However,
the check for clamping by height forgot to test for the runtime
feature. And since the default value of `max-lines` is `auto`, this
made `-webkit-line-clamp` clamp by height unintentionally.

This bug was not caught because the one test that checked that
`max-height` should not affect how `-webkit-line-clamp` clamps, was
failing without the `CSSLineClamp` feature because lines after the
clamp point were not hidden. This CL fixes this test to set
`visibility: hidden` on such lines, so the test can be used without
the feature.

Bug: 531613210, 40336192
Change-Id: I07d43c89193ec3bd86b2e114c2193c273eafb7aa
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8041469
Reviewed-by: Ian Kilpatrick <ikilpatrick@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Andreu Botella <abotella@igalia.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1657299}

--

wpt-commits: d135d65508e3d0f5f0d75d0fc6bce4d42be06d19
wpt-pr: 61094",

Doing so from a rejected Promise
reaction is very unusual, so this CL fixes this by adding a message to
the console instead, avoiding the script-observable behavior of firing
the `error` event. This CL also adds a WPT to protect against this. This
test fails without the implementation change in this CL.

[1]: https://html.spec.whatwg.org/C#report-the-error

R=beaufort.francois@gmail.com, khushalsagar

Bug: 477213243
Change-Id: I5240b12ec973cea868b92c96ef835c6d5b9c2102
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8063044
Commit-Queue: Dominic Farolino <dom@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Fr <beaufort.francois@gmail.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1658648}

--

wpt-commits: d1140fb599306f0dd3ce3e6f97514d26202fac2d
wpt-pr: 61144",
