"description": "On a seek the audio output is torn down and a brand-new platform audio stream is\ncreated and started. On macOS the audio backend runs in a separate process, so\nstarting a stream is a synchronous, blocking cross-process round-trip to the\noperating system that happens while the media clock is frozen, and it dominates\nthe audible seek-resume latency. Measurements show that starting a fresh stream\nand restarting a just-stopped one are both far more expensive than never stopping\nit, so the stream has to stay running to remove the cost.\n\nKeep the platform audio stream alive across the seek: leave it running while\nrepositioning, rebase its clock in place, and drop the stale buffered audio from\nbefore the seek so only post-seek audio is played. Pausing and resuming during\nthe seek update the logical playing state without touching the backend, keeping\nthat state consistent so a later pause cannot stop an already-stopped stream. A\nstream that fails or reaches its end while set aside for reuse is discarded and\nrecreated instead of being resumed as a dead stream.\n\nThe win and the risk are both greatest on macOS, where the remoted backend makes\nthe stream restart most expensive, so the preference gating this defaults on for\nmacOS only and off on other platforms. The intent is to try it on macOS first\nand, once it proves out there, enable it more widely.\n\nThis reduces audible seek-resume latency on macOS by roughly four times. Test\ncoverage for the seek-reuse path is added in Part 5.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D311183",

That check alone is not enough: because\nthe stream stays running, the backend can report end-of-stream or an error\nasynchronously in the short window after the check passes but before the resume\nhas finished rebasing the clock. In practice this happens when a seek lands near\nthe end of the stream and the leftover pre-seek audio drains during the resume.\n\nA stream that has died this way can no longer play the post-seek audio and\ndelivers no further callbacks, so the notification that playback has ended would\nnever fire and audio would stall for the rest of playback. "description": "Automatic update from web-platform-tests\n[gap-decorations] Fix flex gap decorations crash in frag scenario\n\nCurrently, we keep a `fragment_relative_index` when we build gaps to\nboth determine when to build main gaps, as well as access \"previous\"\nmain gaps when processing a line in a non-ascending order.\n\nWe currently derive this index by simple subtraction, `flex_line_index\n- first_flex_line_processed_index_`. However, as it turns out this ends\nup breaking in a non-contiguous situation set like processing lines {0,\n2, 3} in a fragment (line 1 finished earlier). This results in the\nfollowing relative line indices: 0, 2, 3, where it should be 0,1,2. This\ncreates issues with our vector indexing since we expect these indices to\nbe contiguous, and it also leads to issues because\n`flex_cross_gap_sizes_` used an == guard to determine when to add to it,\nand once the index jumped past the count, the equality could never hold\nagain, so the array froze one entry short. (i.e.\n`gap_geometry_-\u003eGetFlexCrossGapSizeCount() ==\nfragment_relative_line_index` would be false).\n\nNow, we add a lazy map + counter that maps an absolute flex-line index\nto a contiguous 0-based position assigned in visit order within the\ncurrent fragment.\n\nThis simplifies the current code, and also fixes this class of bugs.\n\nA rendering test was added, it no longer crashes but technically has\nsome wrong behavior that we want to fix. Filed a bug and will address\nthat in another CL.\n\nFixed: 528865563\nBug: 532828232\nChange-Id: Ieee7b594a85c69e03ef3f9692994ee685f315f76\nReviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8021595\nCommit-Queue: Javier Contreras \u003cjaviercon@microsoft.com\u003e\nReviewed-by: Alison Maher \u003calmaher@microsoft.com\u003e\nCr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1661164}\n\n--\n\nwpt-commits: 18e675aa9389ffa5461589b9caa8ca57312e2fb5\nwpt-pr: 61214",

"description": "Automatic update from web-platform-tests\n[Extensions][WPT] Fix Safari test extension uninstall. (#61223)\n\nThe bidi spec returns `{ \"extension\": \"\u003cextension_id\u003e\" }` (see\nwpt/tools/webdriver/webdriver/bidi/modules/web_extension.py `_install`\nmethod). However, `WebDriverWebExtensionsProtocolPart` install assumes\nthat the raw extension ID is returned (`return\nself.webdriver.web_extensions.install(type, path, value)`). This wasn't\nbroken until PR #60872 which made web-extensions-helpers.js assume that\nthe install was returning just the extension_id.\n\nAfter this change WebDriverWebExtensionsProtocolPart now returns just\nthe extension_id, aligning all browsers to return just an extension_id.\n`installPromise` will now consistently resolve to only the extension_id\nin web-extensions-helpers.js. Safari should now successfully uninstall\nthe test extensions.\n--\n\nwpt-commits: f72776a299652fb30626f24533fccd4b3bb3550f\nwpt-pr: 61223",
