Automatic update from web-platform-tests
Don't inherit table border-color onto cell borders (flagged)

The border/rules table attributes create borders on interior cells.
Blink builds those cell borders with `border-color: inherit`, so a
border-color set on the
via CSS cascades down onto the cell
borders. This is wrong: border-color is not an inherited property per
CSS Backgrounds 3, and it is an interop bug -- Gecko does not do this.

This adds a TableCellBorderColorInherit flag guarding that legacy
inheritance. The flag defaults to "stable" (enabled), so the current
behavior is unchanged. When it is disabled, interior cell borders resolve
to `currentColor` instead, following the cell's own color rather than
the table's border-color. The legacy `bordercolor` attribute path is
preserved in both modes: when it is present the cell borders still
inherit the table's (attribute-set) color.

Defaulting to stable means no behavior change yet; the flag will be
flipped off in a follow-up to launch the spec-compliant behavior. A new
WPT asserts the flag-disabled behavior and runs via the disable-* virtual suite.

Bug: 40745409
Change-Id: I7d5d9e9f527abd652ac3496feba484d7b95b5d2f
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8130161
Reviewed-by: David Baron <dbaron@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Mason Freed <masonf@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: David Baron <dbaron@chromium.org>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1668070}

--

wpt-commits: 90b8c2ee4d51620a97c3888e882eb4a7868be26b
wpt-pr: 61522
Automatic update from web-platform-tests
Fix border-shape arc interpolation neutral keyframe list length

CSSShapeInterpolationType::CreateNeutralValue() built the neutral
interpolable list for an arc segment with only two InterpolableLength
entries in the radius block, but the canonical arc layout used by the
reader (ShapeInterpolationReader::ReadArc) and the real-value writers
(ConvertPath and MaybeConvertNeutral) has three: radius_x, radius_y and
the direction-agnostic radius. The neutral list was therefore one entry
shorter per arc than the real value it animates against.

CreateNeutralValue() is reached only from border-shape, through
shape_interpolation_functions::CreateNeutralValue() and
CSSBorderShapeInterpolationType::MaybeConvertNeutral(). clip-path,
offset-path and shape-outside use MaybeConvertNeutral(), which already
emits three lengths, so only border-shape was affected.

MaybeMergeSingles() only compares the segment command structure
(ShapesAreCompatible) and not the interpolable list length, so the
shorter neutral list was merged with the longer real list. Sampling the
animation then reached InterpolableList::Interpolate() with mismatched
lists: at the divergent index the neutral holds an InterpolableNumber
(the arc-large flag) where the real value holds an InterpolableLength
(the direction-agnostic radius), and InterpolableNumber::Interpolate()'s
To<InterpolableNumber>() downcast aborts the renderer (an always-on
release CHECK; on DCHECK builds the length DCHECK in
InterpolableList::AssertCanInterpolateWith fires first).

This is web-reachable with no flag (border-shape is shipped): animating a
border-shape whose shape() contains an arc, with an implicit (neutral)
boundary keyframe, deterministically crashes the renderer.

Emit three lengths so the neutral arc list matches the real value, and
add a crashtest.

Bug: 513192895
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Change-Id: I57fcda1f7981406f393b695e522fb1396611bcdb
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8022742
Reviewed-by: Fredrik Söderquist <fs@opera.com>
Reviewed-by: Jason Leo <cgqaq@chromium.org>
Commit-Queue: Jason Leo <cgqaq@chromium.org>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1667880}

--

wpt-commits: a282b38dcc15c067c16bdbf79f5137f26abd2214
wpt-pr: 61517
This makes the element layout more explicit and easier to work with.
As the DevTools splitter is turned into a grid area resizer, we need to handle
the DevTools frame max size so it doesn't grow bigger than its grid "cell".

When the toolbox is docked to the side, it doesn't change much to what we
had before: the max width is contrained by the browser container width, so
we keep the resize observer on it, and update the max width (alongside the
splitter attributes aria-value(min|max)).

When the toolbox is docked to the bottom, now we need to account for the possible
items that will be displayed and taking some vertical space:
- the notifications (in split view)
- the RDM toolbar
- the "Find in page" toolbar

So here, we need to know when the browser container size is updated (e.g. when
the browser, or the split view, or one of the sidebar are resized), but also
when we get additional items in the browser container.
Sadly we can't just use a MutationObserver on top of the ResizeObserver: for some
of those items they don't actually have their final height when they're added
into the DOM, which makes it tricky to reason about the available space.
So we're taking another approach and detect when the browser container grid lines
sized are updated. We're using a reflow observer and a debounced method to react
when reflow occurs, and then compute some string representation of the grid lines
height using `getGridFragments`.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D311100",

When this pref is enabled, capture.canvas instead reads back the
actual WebRender composited framebuffer via drawWindow with USE_WIDGET_LAYERS.

Readback can only return the content area composited on screen, and its
coordinates are relative to the chrome window rather than the document, so with
the pref enabled every capture degrades to the whole content area of the
foreground tab: full-document, clip and element captures all return the
viewport. On AVX2 hardware this left the
horizontal pass running at half the SIMD width of the vertical pass, making it
the dominant cost of downscaling.

Add convolve_horizontally_avx2, a 256-bit widening of the SSE2 kernel: it
produces one output pixel per iteration and consumes eight filter taps at a
time, processing four taps in each of the __m256i's two 128-bit lanes exactly
as the SSE2 kernel processes four taps in an __m128i, then combines the two
lanes once per output pixel. The fixed-point arithmetic, rounding and
saturation are unchanged, so the result is bit-identical to the SSE2 kernel.
Dispatch prefers AVX2 when available, mirroring the vertical pass.

Add a gtest that checks the SSE2 and AVX2 kernels against a scalar reference
across a range of filter lengths, including every tail remainder (length mod
8), filters shorter than one SIMD block, and per-output-pixel varying lengths.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D314186
The mask blob is rasterized against itemRect's grid but painted in absolute
reference-frame coordinates, so the item's sub-pixel offset from itemRect is
baked into the recorded alpha. Nothing in the re-record check notices when that
offset changes: itemRect is an integer rect and maskOffset is translation
invariant.

Before bug 1973192 this was harmless, because rounding out meant any sub-pixel
move also resized itemRect and tripped the check on its own. Rasterizing on the
nearest-pixel grid lets a move leave both the origin and the size unchanged, so
an item nudged a sub-pixel distance without being invalidated -- which is what
happens when a sibling's layout change moves it, rather than a change to the
element itself -- keeps alpha rasterized against the offset it had at its
previous position. Mask image drawing snaps to a whole pixel inside the blob, so
once the stale offset crosses a rounding boundary the mask is a full device
pixel out of place, and stays there until something else invalidates the item.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D314286",

Every bullet states one distinct shape;
overlapping ones are merged rather than repeated.

memory-safety.md is the bulk of it, and its general section is now grouped into
five subsections (bounds/sizes/arithmetic, lifetime/ownership/refcounting,
cycle collection and registrations, uninitialized/stale/disclosed memory, and
where a check belongs) so it stays scannable at its new length. The added
shapes cover cross-source size agreement, unit consistency in bounds checks,
buffer initialization on every return path, destroy order and opaque-handle
validity, untrusted external sizes, checked arithmetic, narrowing casts,
debug-only enforcement, releasing a self-reference, use-after-move, Unlink vs.
destructor completeness, array-extent validation, post-construction writes,
leak fixes unmasking use-after-free, proxy success signals, recycled buffers,
validating at the shared sink, uninitialized data reaching a script-readable
sink, id reuse, and a global cap left unset in a process that skipped its
initializer.

ipc.md gains bullets on peer-supplied identity, abnormal vs. graceful teardown,
cross-channel callback lifetime, guarding the pointer rather than a flag, and
hardening at the creation choke point; the existing message-ordering bullet
picks up the at-most-once rejection obligation.

threading.md gains a bullet on MozPromiseHolder being single-thread-only with
no assertion to catch the misuse, and MozMonitoredPromiseHolder as the
cross-thread form.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D314462
The conventions build applies kotlin-dsl, which compiles against Gradle's embedded Kotlin, but it was
also applying the serialization plugin at the version catalog's Kotlin version. That pulled a newer
Kotlin Gradle Plugin onto the build's classpath, so every configuration phase logged an eight-line
"Unsupported Kotlin plugin version" warning. The apilint and nimbus plugin builds each hardcoded a
Kotlin version that matched neither the catalog nor Gradle's embedded Kotlin, so both had silently
drifted.

Gradle loads all three of these plugins into its own classloader against its own Kotlin runtime, so
tracking embeddedKotlinVersion keeps the build logic aligned with what actually loads it, and removes
two versions that have to be updated by hand. Our Android code is unaffected and still compiles with
the catalog version.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D314466",
