Automatic update from web-platform-tests
script: Properly clear selection flags on siblings

There were two issues interfering with proper rendering of incremental
selection updates:

- During the selection flag clearing traversal, when leaving a node the
  traversal was not advanced. This meant that flags were cleared on
  descendants but not siblings of nodes.
- When selection was updated via DOM APIs, there was nothing triggering
  a new rendering update.

Unfortunately these changes have to happen together, as there is no way
to test the second issue in isolation -- things that trigger a
screenshot also trigger rendering updates. The second issue will be
better covered once tests for interactive document selection updates are
implemented though. In addition, the reference for the test must also
use selection APIs as Servo does not yet support `::selection` fully.

Signed-off-by: Martin Robinson <mrobinson@igalia.com>

--

wpt-commits: 841f08ffcef5430c77cf4b4c6ad1d5f6625880da
wpt-pr: 61814
Automatic update from web-platform-tests
Revert "[CSS Modules] Update fetching strategy"

This reverts commit f3d832bb043a00e06a160104f60b4f3f0d17f1c0.

Reason for revert: the reverted CL introduced two regressions for CSS
module scripts fetched through a redirect. It moved CSSStyleSheet
creation from fetch completion to module map insertion time, where only
the request URL is known:

1. The module map entry is keyed on the request URL, but the lookup in
   ModuleScriptLoader::NotifyFetchFinishedSuccess used the response URL,
   so after a redirect the pre-created entry was not found and
   CHECK(pre_created) was hit.
2. The sheet's parser context was built from the request URL, so
   relative url() references resolved against the pre-redirect directory
   rather than the response URL as the spec requires.

Both affect plain `import ... with { type: "css" }`, dynamic import(),
and modulepreload (not just shadowrootadoptedstylesheets) and the crash
masks the base URL bug in a shipping build. Since
shadowrootadoptedstylesheets is on hold, reverting is preferred over
carrying targeted fixes.

In addition to a revert, this change also adds two new test cases that
cover the scenarios listed above, as this is a gap in test coverage that
would have been discovered sooner had tests like these existed.

Bug: 448174611
Change-Id: I904703de1a51701a34a246932b02940eaf5ce3c8
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8217649
Reviewed-by: Dan Clark <daniec@microsoft.com>
Commit-Queue: Kurt Catti-Schmidt <kschmi@microsoft.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1676076}

--

wpt-commits: 5a6dab17be629f7a412ff67fc176daf4a9364a67
wpt-pr: 61821
Summary of changes below. I ended up rewriting most of the Nova path for the
contextual-identity (user-context) and tab-group chiclets. I left the current
path for Proton because it's not worth updating at this point.

This also makes CSS changes related to actions and URLs that aren't strictly
necessary but address some areas that I think can be improved. I thought it
might be eaiser to review all of this together rather than separately.

-----

Add the contextual-identity and tab-group chiclets to all rows as part of
`#createRowContentForRichSuggestion()` rather than waiting until they need to be
shown and then cloning the primary action element. That's a little more
straightfoward I think.

Update the contextual-identity chiclet so it uses a background image like the
switch-to-tab chiclet does rather than a child ``. Also remove the child
`
` for text label since Nova doesn't show the text label.

Set the height of the contextual-identity chiclet by giving it a nbsp for its
content. (This chiclet only has an icon in Nova.) The other chiclets get their
height from their text and padding, so this will ensure it has the same height.
It's a little hacky and I tried some other ways of giving all chiclets a uniform
proper height, but it's not easy due to how deep they are in the DOM. Their
immediate ancestors, `.urlbarView-row-body-top-no-wrap` etc., are narrow and
aren't the full height of the row.

Give both chiclets a transparent border so they're the same visual height as the
switch-to-tab chiclet.

-----

Improve the tooltips and a11y of the contextual-identity and tab-group chiclets.
Tested with NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on Mac.

-----

For each of the elements listed below, group all visibility-related rules inside
a single nested rule (exclusions noted later):

* `.urlbarView-action` - Already grouped in 1 place, no change
* `.urlbarView-explanation` - Was spread over 3 places, now 1 place
* `.urlbarView-switchToTab-accessory` - Introduced by this patch
* `.urlbarView-title-separator` - Was in 2 places, now 1 place
* `.urlbarView-url` - Already grouped in 1 place, no change

For example:

```css
.urlbarView-explanation {
  .urlbarView-row:not([has-explanation]) &,
  .urlbarView-row[has-explanation]:not([selected], :hover) &,
  .urlbarView:not([action-override]) .urlbarView-row[type="switchtab"] & {
    visibility: collapse;
  }
  @container (width < 450px) {
    & {
      visibility: collapse;
    }
  }
}
```

The other alternative that makes sense is to group visibility rules per row
type. I tried that too but think per-element is a little better. Any time we add
new row types or need modify existing types, it's a simple matter of finding the
main rule for each of those elements and then updating the visibility part.
Per-element is also how we do it right now, so this isn't a radical change.

Exclusions: wrap handling and "non-standard" rows (tips and bottom-URL rows,
although we recently made tips use the standard "rich suggestion" DOM). I think
it's OK to consider these cases separately, so I left the nested visibility
rules in those alone.

-----

Consistently use `visibility: collapse` instead of `display: none` to hide the
elements listed above. There's a code comment about overflow and bug 1549787.
Seems like that ought to apply to all of these elements in all cases.

-----

Replace the `.urlbarView-title-separator::before { opacity: 0 }` trick for a11y
with something better. Tested with NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on Mac.

-----

Remove two `#searchbar-new & { display: none }` rules that afaict aren't
necessary since the main visibility rules hide those elements.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D314823
Moving-tab mode is only ever left via finishAnimateTabMove, which runs off the
drop and dragend events. When a platform loses those, the movingtab attribute
sticks: #nav-bar keeps pointer-events: none and the tab strip keeps overlapping
it, leaving a window the user can only fix by restarting.

Two triggers detect that. A watchdog verifies that a live drag session is still
backing moving-tab mode, covering the case where only the dragend was lost and
recovering with no user input. A primary mouse button press covers the case
where the session itself outlived the drag, since it can't be delivered while
the platform runs a drag loop; it reaches us even though the nav-bar is inert,
because the event lands on the toolbox.

Two things worth checking. Bug 1955112 tried the same idea keyed on mousemove
and bug 1957434 backed it out, because moving-tab mode legitimately outlives the
drop while the dropped tabs animate into place, and tearing it down there snaps
the tab back to where it came from. Recovery is suppressed for that window,
using a self-expiring deadline so a transition that never fires can't disable it
permanently. Separately, recovery ends the session as an incomplete drag so no
dragend reaches the source, keeping the detach path from tearing the tab into a
new window from stale coordinates.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317186",

That is what backed out bug 1961577.

Top the estimate up while the scrolled content still fits, and wait for the
overflowing state with a bounded condition so a strip that can't overflow fails
with a message instead. The estimate stays as the opening batch, so callers
asking for a factor of 3 still get the same roomy strip.

Worth checking: the promises array that was awaited held tab elements, since
BrowserTestUtils.addTab returns the tab synchronously, so the overflow event
was the only thing that await actually waited for.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317195
This patch started as an attempt to add a fast path to String.split in cases where there were no matches. On review, Claude mentioned that I had detached the 'Our match algorithm' comment from its referent. When I tried to figure out where it should actually go, I realized that a bunch of the code in this function is a vestigial leftover from the time when it also handled regexp splitting. Our callers already handle the empty separator, so we don't need any special handling for zero-length matches.

I rewrote the code to better match the current version of the spec, with the exception that the first match is hoisted outside the loop to save setup in the no-match case.

This is about 20% faster on a microbenchmark with no matches. I had Claude review the performance overall, and it confirmed that the new code executes fewer instructions in every test it tried.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317214
The application-services megazord links `mozpkix` statically, so `dist/lib`
needs a real archive. In D306609 I added `install_static_libs` to put it there,
but marking a library for installation is not enough on its own. Nothing in the
Firefox build produces an archive for a gyp static library unless
`NO_EXPAND_LIBS` is set.

D315231 was the missing half. I set `no_expand_libs` on the `mozpkix` gyp
target in NSS so the archive would exist for D306609 to install. That worked,
but `NO_EXPAND_LIBS` does two things. It builds the archive, and it makes every
consumer link that archive instead of the expanded object files. libxul started
linking `mozpkix` lazily, and within libxul `VerifyCodeSigningCertificateChain`
is referenced only from Rust. The build system orders Rust static libraries
after all others, and GNU ld reads an archive once at the point it appears,
so the reference arrived too late and `build-linux64-base-toolchains/debug`
failed to link, forcing a backout of the NSS vendor bump in D316987. lld revisits
archives, which is why no other build was impacted.

The fix is to split the two meanings. `BUILD_STATIC_LIB_ARCHIVE` builds the
archive and leaves consumer linkage alone, and `NO_EXPAND_LIBS` implies it, so
existing callers are unaffected. `install_static_libs` now sets the new
variable, which is the one line in `gyp_reader.py` that gives `mozpkix` its
archive, and the rest of this patch is the variable that line needs. Because
`install_static_libs` drives the archive now, D315231 is no longer needed and
can be reverted upstream.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317613
The four tests that exercise the native ONNX and llama.cpp backends have skipped x86 since they were
added, with no recorded reason. The 32-bit onnxruntime toolchain was building an x64 DLL that could
never load, so the tests would have failed there; with that fixed they pass, apart from the pinned
greedy-decoding golden.

That golden diverges by architecture because llama.cpp selects different SIMD kernels, which shifts
logits enough to flip argmax on a few tokens. The constants were a two-way ternary on
AppConstants.platform == "macosx", used as a stand-in for aarch64. That was already inaccurate on
Intel macOS, which only avoided asserting the wrong text because a separate runtime check skips it,
and it has no room for a third bucket. Key them on the architecture Services.sysinfo reports instead
and add the x86 output, pinned from two runs on the same push to confirm it is stable. An
architecture with no pinned output now skips with a message rather than silently asserting the
x86-64 text.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317683",

Patches are applied with `patch -p1 --directory gfx/cairo/cairo`,
so a header has to be relative to the vendor directory (a/src/...) like every
other patch in the list; as written these two would not have applied. Added SettingsDeleteBrowsingDataPage verbs + selectors, a SettingsPage->DeleteBrowsingData navigation edge, TabDrawerPage.verifyNoOpenTabsInNormalBrowsing, and a BrowserPage retry-with-reload web-content click helper. All three pass on-device on the first attempt (no retries); fenix:ktlint is clean. Full assertion parity with the legacy tests.

Why: Move smoke coverage onto the shared ui/efficiency page-object/selector/navigation layer to reduce per-test UI-test maintenance cost.

Context: part of the ui/efficiency UI-test modernization. This is a faithful port of an existing legacy ui/ smoke test onto the ui/efficiency framework — same coverage and assertions, but far less per-test code via a shared page-object / selector / navigation layer, which bends the UI-test maintenance cost curve.
