"description": "Automatic update from web-platform-tests\nAdd failOnError/reftestStep/reftestPromise to common/reftest-wait.js\n\nReftests that wait on an event or promise that may never fire (e.g. an\nunimplemented API) currently hang until the harness timeout instead of\nfailing fast. These helpers let a reftest report a synchronous throw\nor promise rejection as an immediate, visible failure and stop waiting\nfor a screenshot, mirroring how testharness.js converts exceptions\nraised in step_func/promise_test into test failures. failOnError skips\nrel=mismatch-only reftests, since an error page, which necessarily\ndiffers from the reference, would cause a spurious pass.\n\n--\nReport worker errors in OffscreenCanvas reftests\n\nUncaught exceptions, mostly unimplemented APIs, in the worker left\nreftest-wait set forever, causing timeouts and adding more than 20\nminutes of runtime to both Firefox and Safari.\n\n--\n\nwpt-commits: 192938a148ff4d05f381a9cdb6845bf61085f350, 2517845b612a4290cfef50ec259efcf9a2806011\nwpt-pr: 61471",

"description": "A contextmenu event is dispatched during the button press on Linux and macOS, so a\npanel-list opened from one is already an auto popover when the button is released,\nand that release light-dismisses it. At the pointerdown no auto popover was open\nyet, so the document's popover pointerdown target was never recorded; at the\npointerup the release target has no popover ancestor either, so the two match and\nHidePopoverStackUntil hides the whole auto popover stack. Since that happens\nnatively, hide() never runs and the open attribute stays set, so the element state\ndesyncs from the popover state.\n\nOpening as a manual popover keeps the panel in the top layer but out of the auto\npopover stack, so light dismiss leaves it alone. What's worth checking is that the\nlisteners addHideListeners() already installs cover everything light dismiss did:\noutside mousedown, Escape, focus changes, scroll, resize and window blur.\n\nOne limitation of the test: only the popover attribute assertion actually\ndiscriminates the fix. The assertions that the panel survives the mouseup pass with\nand without it, because a synthesized release under mochitest-chrome does not\nreproduce the dismissal; the end-to-end behavior was verified by hand and against\nthe urlbar result context menu.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317046",

"description": "Suppressions accumulate and are never revisited, so a good number of them now sit on code that the\nchecks stopped objecting to, where they hide nothing and mislead the next reader. Find them by removing\nevery suppression in a project, running lint, and keeping only the ones something actually reported\nagainst.\n\nSites in source sets or modules the run does not analyse are left alone, since absence of a finding\nproves nothing there, as are the WrongThread ones, which turn out to also suppress ThreadConstraint.\n\nThe shared configuration had never been through the same audit, so run it there too. Three of its\npath-scoped ignores match nothing their check reports and one names a support library the tree stopped\nusing long ago, while three severity entries name the severity lint already applies to a check it\nalready enables, so they configure nothing at all. The two jar ignores go on weaker evidence: the check\nbehind them reports nothing in either application and nothing here can make it report, but if it ever\ndoes it names the jar it is unhappy about, which is cheap enough to put back.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317705",

"description": "Going through the suppressions that do still hide a finding, most of them are hiding something the check\nhas no way of knowing: widget layouts cannot use AppCompat attributes, a browser has to permit cleartext,\na custom tabs service has to be exported unprotected, and a root view that something looks up by id\ncannot become a merge tag. Those are worth keeping.\n\nThe rest are ordinary gaps, so drop their suppressions and let the baseline record them as work: images\nwith no description, an inconsistent gravity, a prompt field with no autofill setting, two layouts nested\nfor no reason, and two manifests that configure backup for Android 12 but not for the versions below it.\nAlso move one suppression off a root element, where it was quietly covering everything beneath it, onto\nthe single view that needs it.\n\nOne is worth fixing outright rather than recording. A Focus preference key is written across three lines,\nand the leading whitespace is the whole of what the check objects to; writing it inline like its seventy\nneighbours removes the finding and the ignore that hid it, which sharing the configuration had extended\nto Fenix as well.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317706",

[Phab D318395](https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D318395)\n- **Security** Firefox backported a WebRTC video capture fix that validates SPA pod values to prevent out-of-bounds reads in untrusted media input handling. [Phab D318394](https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D318394)\n- **Privacy** Copy Clean Link now strips the `lid` tracking parameter globally, tightening anti-tracking cleanup in a place users actually hit every day. [Phab D318412](https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D318412)\n- **Perf** SpiderMonkey tightened concurrent marking internals with mutex cleanup, shorter lock hold times, and build-specific marking behavior fixes that should reduce contention in GC-heavy paths.
