We need a Category-1-safe signal\nfrom the release population that catches output drift and lets us pin\nany drift to a specific vendored llama.cpp revision.\n\nLinkPreviewModel.generateTextAI reuses the still-warm engine to call\nrunSmokeTest immediately before terminating: a fixed Mozilla-controlled\nprompt is run with greedy sampling, the output is SHA-256'd, and a new\ngenai.linkpreview.smoke_test event records output_hash, matches_pinned,\nand the model identifiers. runSmokeTest is a no-op unless the running\nengine is the pinned SmolLM2 checkpoint on the native llama.cpp\nbackend, and fires at most once per Firefox build ID per install. The\nhash lets downstream analysis bucket users whose output drifted the\nsame way without storing the raw text.\n\nfirefox.ai.runtime.engine_run gains a backend_version extra that\nrecords the running llama.cpp revision when the backend is\n\"llama.cpp\"; the value is null for other backends until they populate\ntheir own version. Bug 2005365 unified the run-metrics shape across\npipelines but did not carry a version identifier through. The revision\nliteral lives at the top of MLEngineParent.sys.mjs; a cross-reference\ncomment in third_party/llama.cpp/moz.yaml points vendor bumpers at the\nJS constant they need to keep in sync.\n\nThe smoke_test event joins to the sibling engine_run and\nrun_inference_success_flow events for the same inference via flow_id,\nso any hash miss lands with the specific vendored revision that\nproduced it.\n\nbrowser_ml_llama_smollm2_smoke.js exercises runSmokeTest against a\nreal SmolLM2 engine under the perftest harness and asserts the\nsmoke_test event was recorded with the pinned hash, the pinned model\nidentifiers, and the correct throttle behavior on a second call.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D311308",

Since bug 2036608 the item's action is delete: with no target, so it travels the macOS responder chain, and since bug 2040851 the item is always enabled. While a native window such as an NSSavePanel sheet has focus, AppKit therefore matches the forward delete key against our menu item and performs delete: instead of leaving the keystroke alone. The panel's filename field reads delete: as \"delete the current selection\", so with a collapsed caret nothing happens at all and the keystroke is spent.\n\nNative text fields read keys that arrive without a Command modifier as plain editing or navigation keys, so leave those keys to the window that has focus. While a Gecko window has focus the item does not run its command, because gMenuItemsExecuteCommands is NO, but AppKit still flashes the menu title on each match and that cost is paid per keystroke. A small standalone AppKit test app that mimics this setup drains forward delete events at roughly 53 ms each with the item enabled, against roughly 2 ms with it disabled or with the keystroke left alone, so holding forward delete deletes far more slowly than the keyboard repeat rate the OS is set to.\n\nHandle only shortcuts that include Command in the menu bar, whichever window has focus, and leave plain keys to that window. Menu items were already kept from running their commands while a Gecko window has focus, and a shortcut that Gecko does not handle still reaches the menu bar afterwards through nsCocoaWindow::PostHandleKeyEvent, so what goes away here is the menu flash for these keys.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D316558",

The Glean metric\ncontentblocking.fingerprinters_blocked_count is left in place, so what Firefox\ncollects is unchanged. fingerprintersHistogramAdd in browser-siteProtections.js\nalready records exclusively through Glean, so no instrumentation changes are\nneeded.\n\nBoth sides of the mirror have to go in the same commit: test_mirrors.py asserts\nevery telemetry_mirror resolves to an existing probe, and also that every\nhistogram in Histograms.json has a mirroring metric, so removing either side\nalone fails.\n\nbrowser_protectionsUI_fingerprinters.js asserted on the legacy categorical\nhistogram only, so those assertions are converted to Glean rather than dropped.\nThe categorical indices the old snapshot indexed into map onto the labeled\ncounter's labels: 0 is pageLoad, 1 is blocked and 2 is allowed. The fpHistogram\nglobal and its getHistogramById lookup are now unused and removed.\n\nThis is the direct counterpart of bug 2061673 for fingerprinters. Such an\nAPZC skipped the scrolling, but still turned any leftover delta into a local\noverscroll effect, even while sitting far from the edge that overscroll would\nbelong to, which triggers the assertion in Axis::OverscrollBy. Therefore, we\nonly accept the leftover delta as overscroll when we were allowed to scroll,\nand drop it otherwise.\n\nThe leftover delta was also computed too large. CallDispatchScroll clamps the\nend point to obey overscroll-behavior, but it did so on a local copy, so the\namount it dropped never reached the caller. The caller then derived the\nleftover from its own stale end point and got the true remainder plus whatever\nthe handoff target had scrolled in the meantime. Write the adjusted end point\nback to aEndPoint so caller and callee agree on how much delta is left.\n\nAdds a gtest with a nested vertical-only scroller tree with\noverscroll-behavior: none on the root, so the root can scroll but neither hand off\nnor overscroll. Panning down and then reversing past the root's extent within\none touch block sends the residual delta back to the frozen subframe, triggering\nthe assertion in Axis::OverscrollBy.\n\nAdds a second gtest modelling the reproducer page from the bug more closely:\nnested vertical-only scrollers, no overscroll-behavior, and the subframe offset\nbelow the root's origin. This exercises the changes in CallDispatchScroll().\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D318405",

"description": "A bound function created by the specialized Function.prototype.bind stub and then\ncalled in the same compilation usually doesn't escape, so the allocation can be\nremoved entirely and recovered on bailout.\n\nMNewBoundFunction becomes a recoverable instruction taking its template object as\nan MConstant operand, mirroring MNewIterator, because MObjectState::templateObjectOf\nreads the template from the operand.\n\nThe escape analysis needs to understand the instructions the bound function call\nstubs emit against the callee:\n\n - loadBoundFunctionTarget -\u003e MLoadFixedSlotAndUnbox\n - loadBoundFunctionNumArgs -\u003e MBoundFunctionNumArgs\n - guardBoundFunctionIsConstructor\n - guardObjectIdentity, which tryAttachBoundFunction emits for constructing\n calls to check newTarget == callee. Both operands alias the object being\n replaced, so the guard is trivially true, but either one can be a chain of\n guards on that object rather than the object itself, so we compare with\n PhiOperandEqualTo. Without this case the constructing call never\n scalar-replaces, since ScalarReplacement runs before GVN and\n MGuardObjectIdentity::foldsTo only folds constants and nursery objects.\n\nThe test uses assertRecoveredOnBailout, without which it would pass whether or\nnot scalar replacement actually happened. It is skipped when nothing warms up in\nthe baseline interpreter: the specialized bind IC never attaches in that case, so\nthere is no template object and no MNewBoundFunction, and the assertions would\nfail for an unrelated reason.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D319122",

If the app is locked, the security flow navigates to\n unlockPrivateTabsFragment, but `AboutHomeBinding` does not recognize this fragment\n as a valid destination for `about:home` and navigates back to `homeFragment`.\n This causes the security and homepage navigation flows to repeatedly redirect\n between the unlock and home screens.\n\n Fix:\n Add `unlockPrivateTabsFragment` to the `AboutHomeBinding` exclusion list so homepage\n navigation does not interfere with the private tab unlock flow.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D319150",

When the box has\na fractional device size the composite resamples the cached arc, so a hairline\ncurve loses contrast against the straight sides, which are grid snapped and\nfully opaque. The curve then reads as thinner than the sides, and a radius whose\nfractional part is below a half is drawn a whole pixel too large because the\ntask size rounds while the rasterized geometry rounded up.\n\nThe corner box is max(radius, width), so snap a radius that exceeds its border\nwidth to a whole device pixel, matching what is already done for the widths.\nThat makes the corner composite exact, which in turn lets the rasterized arc use\nthe requested radius and thickness rather than rounding both up. A hairline side\nkeeps a texel of its own in the corner task so it cannot drop out of the arc.\n\nMeasured against an ideal supersampled arc, a fractional-radius corner goes from\n0.027 RMSE and 0.23 peak error to 0.010 and 0.09, matching what a whole-pixel\nradius already rendered, and the mean peak coverage along the curve rises from\n0.66 to 0.75.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D319658",

"description": "ssltunnel is the last consumer of PR_CreateThreadPool in the tree; nothing\nelse uses nsprpub/pr/src/misc/prtpool.c at all. It never used the pool as a\nwork queue over a bounded set of workers, though: every job is long-lived,\none per listening server plus one per accepted client connection. A thread\nper job is therefore equivalent, and PR_CreateThread expresses it directly.\n\nThe threads are unjoinable on purpose. StartServer parks in PR_Accept with\nno timeout and only re-checks shutdown_server at the top of its loop, so\nwaiting for one to finish can block indefinitely. PR_JoinThreadPool had that\nsame hazard, which means the graceful shutdown path could already hang; it is\nonly reachable when a server fails to start, since the harness kills this\nprocess rather than asking it to exit.\n\nGuards shutdown_condvar with a shutdown_requested predicate. SignalShutdown\nonly notified, so a shutdown signalled before main reached PR_WaitCondVar was\nlost and main blocked forever. That was already reachable from StartServer's\nthree failure paths, which run on worker threads and can signal before main\nstarts waiting - a server whose port is still in TIME_WAIT, for instance - and\nqueueing a server from main makes it deterministic.\n\nTwo incidental fixes: a failed queue attempt used to leak the\nconnection_info_t along with its socket, and a server that could not be\nstarted was silently skipped instead of signalling shutdown.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D321213",

"description": "With the MediaCodec NDK changes, we expose platform support for\nsoftware VP8/VP9/AV1 encoders via ffvpx for webcodecs. At present,\nAndroid ships neither ffvpx nor webcodecs support. The MediaCodec\nNDK work is required to unblock that, and as a result, enables\nffvpx software encoding as a viable path.\n\nToday Android always prefers a platform encoder over a WebRTC\nencoder, which works because AndroidEncoderModule only exposes a\nsoftware implementation for H264.\n\nThis patch makes it so that if there is a software WebRTC encoder\navailable for the desired codec, we will only allow hardware\nencoders from platform. This preserves the behaviour that Android\nsees with an encoder creation strategy of 1 when the Media NDK\nprefs are enabled. This will fix new WPT webrtc failures with that\nconfiguration.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D321296",

It is hidden unless a bar is open and broken out, which the `:not()` arms negated. A window-modal dialog revokes breakout with the view open, so `[breakout]` keeps the results off it.\n\nThe view becomes a flex column for every bar, with one rule for its block-start gap in a page and in the chrome; geometry is unchanged, and the hidden one-offs lose a margin the padding doubles. `:where()` lets the smartbar set that gap itself and keep its row budget with `box-sizing`.\n\nDifferential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D321416",

The parser side comma\nsuffixes on the line and position settings changes, e.g. \"line:0%,start\"\nand \"position:50%,line-left\" - is a conformance fix that does not need\nto be flag guarded (default behavior is parse, but do nothing without\nflag). [Phab D321568](https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D321568)\n- **Perf** SpiderMonkey landed bound-function call inlining and scalar replacement work, which should cut overhead for a common JS abstraction pattern. [Phab D319121](https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D319121)\n- **Web Platform** Notifications gained a `navigate` property and storage plumbing for click-through URLs, pushing Firefox forward on the notifications API surface. [Phab D320994](https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D320994)\n- **UI** Nightly now enables the new tab search bar, with a large follow-up stack to wire search modes, history, heuristics, and Nimbus control. [Phab D321017](https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D321017)\n- **Rendering** WebRender moved more border, gradient, and box-shadow geometry into the display list builder, a meaningful pipeline simplification with rendering payoff. [Phab D321143](https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D321143)\n- **Security** Firefox upgraded to NSS 3.128 RTM, pulling in the latest crypto and certificate stack updates. [Phab D321521](https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D321521)\n- **Media** Android switched encoder selection to prefer platform encoders only for hardware paths, tightening WebRTC media backend choice.
