Automatic update from web-platform-tests
Fix microtask race in src-repeated-in-ancestor.html test

The test previously used:

```
Promise.race([
  subjectNavigation.then(...),
  controlNavigation]
);
```

... to detect if an iframe associated with `subjectNavigation` navigated
to a URL that matches an ancestor URL. In Chromium, when beforeunload
fired synchronously in both iframes, wrapping subjectNavigation in a
`.then()` created a pending promise whose microtask ran after
`controlNavigation` had already settled.

This caused Promise.race to resolve with controlNavigation first,
accidentally masking any navigation/beforeunload events on the subject
iframe, which is used to assert that a navigation *didn't* take place in
that iframe at all.

This CL replaces the `Promise.race()` *race* with an explicit check
ensuring no beforeunload event was dispatched on the subject iframe by
the time the control iframe finishes loading. Chromium fails the fixed
test which reveals that we never implemented step 3 of
https://html.spec.whatwg.org/C#shared-attribute-processing-steps-for-iframe-and-frame-elements in the HTML Standard:

```
If the inclusive ancestor navigables of element's node navigable contains a navigable whose active document's URL equals url with exclude fragments set to true, then return null.
```

This was found during investigation in
https://github.com/whatwg/html/issues/12800.

R=nrosenthal

Bug: N/A
Change-Id: I03c205aef55db2daf1cfa6fde8ef0df7d08a79ac
Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8281045
Commit-Queue: Dominic Farolino <dom@chromium.org>
Reviewed-by: Noam Rosenthal <nrosenthal@google.com>
Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/main@{#1685576}

--

wpt-commits: a71786da31059e36cb24a6a5596173a1cb12be79
wpt-pr: 62189",

That relies on the javascript: URL being
evaluated in a queued task, which is covered elsewhere, and it made all
three variants time out in WebKit rather than report anything about
noopener.

Make the call from a same-origin srcdoc iframe instead.
Automatic update from web-platform-tests
script: Align live range update steps with specification

This change reworks the live range update steps that show up in various
places in the specification so that they match what the specification
says. Now updates to live ranges uses the existing `set_start` and
`set_end` APIs which simplify the code greatly as they already handle
updating the `Node`'s live range list. This is preparation work for
adding a new live-ish range type for selections (which will have a few
different requirements than a real DOM live range).

Improvements to spec compliance of `Node#normalize()`:
- Instead of issuing one mutation record per merged node only issue a
   single one.
- The change to the preserved node's data happens before the merged
   nodes' removal.
- Indices for live range updates would be stale when merging more
   than two nodes.

Notes on performance:
- This switches to accessing a rooted `SmallVec` of live ranges
   per-node. In cases where a node has 4 or fewer live ranges, this will
   not allocate, otherwise this adds a new vector allocation for an
   edge case.
- The amount of rooting should be unchanged as the old code had to
   root all accessed `Range`'s anyway.
- In some cases we avoid calculating node indices where they were
   before using `LazyCell`.

Signed-off-by: Martin Robinson <mrobinson@igalia.com>

--

wpt-commits: 797589c8452b14ba448ba77819427ff3d743e37f
wpt-pr: 62112",

Mirrors the macOS/Linux/Windows implementations
from Bug 1956304 for Android (GeckoView).

The initial consumer is the W3C Async Clipboard API web custom format
protocol (Appendix A of the spec: Android shares the Linux/ChromeOS
convention where the JSON essence -> slot map lives under
"application/web;type="custom/formatmap"" and each essence's bytes
live under "application/web;type="custom/formatN""). However the
plumbing added here is MIME-agnostic — any future clipboard consumer
that needs to publish a multi-item ClipData backed by URIs can reuse
the same session/provider/commit flow.

GeckoClipboardContentProvider is a new ContentProvider that serves the
bytes for Firefox-authored clips via content:// URIs of the shape
content://AUTHORITY/<sessionId>/<itemIndex>. It uses a Pipe so bytes
never hit disk. The authority is derived per applicationId
("${applicationId}.clipboard") so Fenix, GVE, and any other GeckoView-
based package can coexist on the same device without hitting Android's
one-authority-per-name restriction (INSTALL_FAILED_CONFLICTING_PROVIDER).

Clipboard.java gets a MIME-agnostic session-based write API
(openWriteSession / addPayload / commitWriteSession / cancelWriteSession)
so the C++ side can push payloads one at a time without a byte[][] JNI
hop. Payload order matters: the first added payload's URI is bundled
onto ClipData.Item[0] together with the standard text/HTML flavors,
subsequent payloads become items 1..N.

The web-custom-format read API (getWebCustomFormatMapJson /
getWebCustomFormatPayload / hasWebCustomFormatMap) walks the primary
clip's items and resolves each Uri's MIME via
ContentResolver.getStreamTypes().

AndroidManifest_overlay.jinja registers GeckoClipboardContentProvider
with authority "${applicationId}.clipboard", exported="true", and
grantUriPermissions so other apps can resolve the URIs cross-app.

Depends on Bug 1956304.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D307753",

The
standard text/HTML flavors in the same transferable are co-published
on the same ClipData so callers asking for text/plain after a mixed
write still find them.

GetNativeClipboardData adds two branches before the legacy text/raw
path:
  - kWebCustomFormatMapType fetches the map JSON from the primary clip,
    parses it, and returns the per-essence "web foo/bar" flavors as an
    nsIMutableArray.
  - "web foo/bar" fetches the map, looks up the matching per-essence
    MIME, and reads its bytes via the ContentProvider URI.

HasNativeClipboardDataMatchingFlavors recognises both shapes and
lazy-loads the map JSON on the first "web " query.

Depends on Bug 1956304.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D307803
While two processes of the same app bundle are registered with macOS at the same time, the second one counts as another instance of the app and is given its own dock tile. That tile then stays in the dock's list of recently used applications after the process is gone, so stale icons appear to build up, roughly one per restart.

Since bug 1827651 we relaunch through NSWorkspace with `createsNewApplicationInstance` set, which is what makes macOS treat the relaunched process as a separate instance rather than as the same app coming back. Bug 1914807 then added the updater as a relauncher process to give the old process a chance to shut down first, but nothing actually waited for it, so in practice the two still overlap. Going back to NSTask does not look like an option, since we rely on NSWorkspace to register the app for session resume.

We now hand the pid of the process being replaced to the relauncher, and it waits for that process to leave Launch Services before it launches the replacement. The updater does the same for the callback application after applying an update, where it already has the pid.

We also stop asking for a new instance once nothing of that bundle identifier is running, so that a relaunch reuses the dock tile that is already there. We keep asking for one while any process of that bundle identifier is running, even one running from a different copy of the application: macOS resolves the open by bundle identifier rather than by the path we pass, so without the request it hands us that other process, drops the arguments, and the application we asked for never comes up.

One consequence is that a dock icon that is not kept in the dock now disappears for the short time between the old process exiting and the new one starting. Before, the two overlapped and the icon stayed put. A pinned icon, which we believe is the more common case, only loses its running indicator for that moment.

The tests cover both halves of this. One runs the relauncher directly against a pid that is still alive and checks that it waits instead of returning right away. The other restarts the browser and samples the process table across the restart to confirm that the old and the new process are never alive at the same time.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D316703",

Timeline range boundaries are then computed by solving s - d(s) == offset for the earliest or latest scroll offset, as appropriate for each boundary, matching the earliest/latest wording in the spec. If more than one sticky ancestor affects the subject we fall back to treating the current displacement as permanent.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317569
Test-only change, no probe definitions are touched. This is a prerequisite for
removing the security.ui.protections Legacy Telemetry mirrors: the test is the
only in-tree consumer of them, and it asserted exclusively through
Services.telemetry.snapshotEvents.

All recording sites already went through Glean via RPMRecordGleanEvent, so the
legacy events only existed as telemetry_mirror side effects. Reading the Glean
events directly asserts the same behaviour against the probes Firefox actually
records.

The awkward part of the old test was waitForTelemetryEventCount, which waited on
a running total of every security.ui.protections legacy event - show, close and
click combined. Those totals (4, 7, 10 ... 37) encoded how many tab loads each
step happened to perform, so dropping any single mirror shifted every subsequent
number. Glean's testGetValue() is per-metric, so each assertion now waits only on
the event it cares about and the counts become local to that metric.

testFlushAllChildren() replaces the poll-until-visible loops, since these events
are recorded in the content process and FOG can flush child data on demand
rather than waiting for legacy's 2 second sync interval.

The two .skip()ed VPN tasks are migrated as well. They referenced vpn_card_link,
vpn_banner_link and vpn_banner_close, whose legacy events bug 2062676 already
deleted, so they were asserting against probes that no longer exist.

addArbitraryTimeout is kept as-is. It now only serves to let earlier tasks settle
before the FOG reset, and removing it is a timing change better made separately.

All 26 telemetry assertions pass in the same order with unchanged messages.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D317924
A rounded border corner is rasterized into a cached texture sized to the whole
device pixels of its corner box, then stretched onto that box. When the box has
a fractional device size the composite resamples the cached arc, so a hairline
curve loses contrast against the straight sides, which are grid snapped and
fully opaque. The curve then reads as thinner than the sides, and a radius whose
fractional part is below a half is drawn a whole pixel too large because the
task size rounds while the rasterized geometry rounded up.

The corner box is max(radius, width), so snap a radius that exceeds its border
width to a whole device pixel, matching what is already done for the widths.
That makes the corner composite exact, which in turn lets the rasterized arc use
the requested radius and thickness rather than rounding both up. A hairline side
keeps a texel of its own in the corner task so it cannot drop out of the arc.

Measured against an ideal supersampled arc, a fractional-radius corner goes from
0.027 RMSE and 0.23 peak error to 0.010 and 0.09, matching what a whole-pixel
radius already rendered, and the mean peak coverage along the curve rises from
0.66 to 0.75.

Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D319658",
