https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=296971
rdar://157605644

Reviewed by Mike Wyrzykowski.

Currently PixelBuffer has 3 direct subclasses: ByteArrayPixelBuffer,
Float16ArrayPixelBuffer and ShareablePixelBuffer.

Byte- and Float16- have pretty much the same underlying storage: A
JavaScriptCore typed array, which is always a subclass of
JSC::ArrayBufferView. (But ShareablePixelBuffer is different.)

In some situations that only deal, or used to deal, with
ByteArrayPixelBuffer, we will want them to work with
Float16ArrayPixelBuffer as well.
Instead of doubling the code at each site, it would be best to use a
common base class that can abstract the differences in most cases, like
accessing the data as bytes.
But at the same time, we can't just use the current base PixelBuffer, as
we don't want to have to also deal with ShareablePixelBuffer, which
shouldn't happen in these code paths anyway.

So this introduces an intermediate abstract base class ArrayPixelBuffer
for these array-based concrete PixelBuffers.
Note that this abstract class ArrayPixelBuffer has non-virtual member
functions to access the data, so there is no penalty when calling them,
and the compiler could even inline them.

In summary, the class hierarchy is now as follows:
- PixelBuffer: Any kind of pixel buffer, this abstract base class
  stores the format, size, and a non-owning span to the data bytes.
- ShareablePixelBuffer: Concrete subclass owning a SharedMemory,
  with non-virtual data() to access that SharedMemory.
- ArrayPixelBuffer: Abstract subclass owning a JSC::ArrayBufferView,
  with non-virtual data() to access that JSC buffer. Useful for e.g.:
  canvas to cache putImageData pixels.
~ TypedArrayPixelBuffer: Templated concrete subclass, which
  guarantees by construction that the underlying data() is of a
  certain concrete type.
- ByteArrayPixelBuffer=Typed<JSC::Uint8ClampedArray>:
  Instantiation for byte-oriented buffers, useful for code that
  only deals with these, like BitmapImage.
- Float16ArrayPixelBuffer=Typed<JSC::Float16Array>: The newer
  intantiation to be used for HDR-capable elements.

Other improvements:
- Make leaf subclasses final.
- Make PixelBuffer member variables private for better encapsulation.
- Make PixelBuffer member variables const because they should never change.
- Make PixelBuffer::type() pure virtual, to ensure concrete subclasses
  override it.
- Qualify takeData() as `&&` to force object to be moved-from and catch
  potential use-after-move's.

* Source/WebCore/Headers.cmake:
* Source/WebCore/Sources.txt:
* Source/WebCore/WebCore.xcodeproj/project.pbxproj:
* Source/WebCore/html/ImageData.cpp:
(WebCore::ImageData::create):
* Source/WebCore/html/ImageDataArray.cpp:
(isType): Deleted.
* Source/WebCore/html/canvas/CanvasRenderingContext2DBase.cpp:
(WebCore::CanvasRenderingContext2DBase::makeImageDataIfContentsCached const):
* Source/WebCore/platform/graphics/ArrayPixelBuffer.cpp: Added.
(WebCore::ArrayPixelBuffer::ArrayPixelBuffer):
* Source/WebCore/platform/graphics/ArrayPixelBuffer.h: Added.
(WebCore::ArrayPixelBuffer::takeData):
(isType):
* Source/WebCore/platform/graphics/PixelBuffer.cpp:
* Source/WebCore/platform/graphics/PixelBuffer.h:
(WebCore::PixelBuffer::type const): Deleted.
* Source/WebCore/platform/graphics/TypedArrayPixelBuffer.cpp:
(WebCore::>::TypedArrayPixelBuffer):
* Source/WebCore/platform/graphics/TypedArrayPixelBuffer.h:
* Source/WebKit/GPUProcess/graphics/ShareablePixelBuffer.h:
(WebKit::ShareablePixelBuffer::data const): Deleted.

Canonical link: https://commits.webkit.org/317522@main
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319606
rdar://182434983

Reviewed by Sihui Liu.

The test asserted that WebPageProxy::createNewPage() rejects a hostile
EncodedFileData request body via its hasGrantedSandboxExtensionForFile
MESSAGE_CHECK. That check is no longer reachable for this payload:
316378@main (bug 314948) tightened IPC::FormDataReference decoding to drop
the body when a file element is not accompanied by a consumable sandbox
extension. The test supplies a null extension handle, so the body is now
dropped at decode and createNewPage() never sees an httpBody. The test
previously relied on the pre-fix behavior, which vacuously treated null
handles as successfully consumed and let the body through to the check.

With the body dropped, control instead reaches the sender-ownership check
added by e9f94fd4c643 (bug 315535):
```
      !navigationActionData.originatingPageID
          || process->isAssociatedWithPage(*navigationActionData.originatingPageID)
```
The test's fabricated originatingPageID does not satisfy this check, so it
is rejected there. Depending on whether the body survived decode (which
varies by build/configuration), the test observed either the expected
hasGrantedSandboxExtensionForFile check or this unrelated originatingPageID
check, which is what CI flagged as flaky.

The hostile file body is still rejected at one layer or the other, so this
is a stale assertion, not a security regression. Make the test robust:

  - Move testRunner.notifyDone() into the TakeInvalidMessageStringForTesting
    reply callback so the page and frame stay alive through CreateNewPage
    dispatch.
  - Set originatingPageID to NULLOPT. It is orthogonal to what this test
    covers (the file-body check runs earlier and is unaffected); leaving it
    non-null only tripped the unrelated sender-ownership check.
  - Accept both safe outcomes as a PASS: the body being dropped at decode
    (no invalid message recorded) or the hasGrantedSandboxExtensionForFile
    MESSAGE_CHECK firing on builds where the body survives decode. Only an
    unexpected message check now fails the test.

Note: createNewPage()'s file-body MESSAGE_CHECK is now shadowed by
FormDataReference's decode-time enforcement and is effectively unreachable
via this IPC path. This test is consequently a defense-in-depth smoke test.

* LayoutTests/http/tests/ipc/createnewpage-file-body-sandbox-extension.html:
* LayoutTests/platform/ios/TestExpectations:
* LayoutTests/platform/mac-wk2/TestExpectations:

Canonical link: https://commits.webkit.org/317526@main",

To
fix this, we need to apply the frame scale factor to the damage rect
after we have translated it into the coordinate space of the view so
that it properly covers the contents that were changed.

One thing to note is that I could not get this failure to reproduce
locally with WKTR but was able to successfully repro it with the WPT
runner. Loading up the testcase in Safari/MiniBrowser also showcased
some flakiness so it seems like there are some scenarios in which we
already recover from this presumably because we end up repainting the
entire iframe anyway.

I attempted to create a less flaky version of the WPT but was unable to
do so successfully. I did manage to create some varaint however by
tracking the repaint rects.

* LayoutTests/fast/repaint/css-zoom-iframe-partial-repaint.html: Added.
Aftorementioned testcase that always fails without our change.
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319391
rdar://182223716

Reviewed by Dominic Mazzoni.

An element's aria-actions attribute exposes other elements as custom actions on
that element. When an assistive technology invokes one of those actions, the
following sequence happens:

  1. The platform's custom-action handler calls performCustomActionPress()
     which resolves the action target and presses it.

  2. This dispatches a simulated click (to pretend a "real" mouseclick
     happened for privacy reasons). This inherently causes focus to
     move to it.

The result is that invoking an action steals focus from wherever the AT user was,
and fires an accessibility focus notification for the target. This is not the
desired user experience for aria-actions -- focus should remain on the originating,
aria-actions-having element.

Fix this by giving the custom-action path its own press variant, pressPreservingFocus().
It records where focus currently is, presses the action target, and if the press moved
focus onto that target, restores focus to where it was. The accessibility focus notifications
for both the transient move onto the target and the restore are suppressed, so the momentary
focus movement is never surfaced to the assistive technology. The check-and-restore is done
synchronously, so no author script can run between observing that focus landed
on the target and restoring it. This only affects the aria-actions custom-action path.

If author script moved focus somewhere other than the action target, that is respected and left
in place. If the origin can no longer take focus back (e.g. it was disconnected during the press),
the real focus is surfaced so the assistive technology can move there instead of being left
pointed at the stale origin.

This heuristic aligns with other browsers.

* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-focus-author-override-expected.txt: Added.
* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-focus-author-override.html: Added.
* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-focus-in-other-frame-expected.txt: Added.
* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-focus-in-other-frame.html: Added.
* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-focus-no-origin-expected.txt: Added.
* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-focus-no-origin.html: Added.
* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-focus-restore-fallback-expected.txt: Added.
* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-focus-restore-fallback.html: Added.
* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-preserves-focus-expected.txt: Added.
* LayoutTests/accessibility/aria-actions-preserves-focus.html: Added.
* LayoutTests/platform/glib/TestExpectations:
* Source/WebCore/accessibility/AXCoreObject.cpp:
(WebCore::Accessibility::performCustomActionPress):
* Source/WebCore/accessibility/AXObjectCache.cpp:
(WebCore::AXObjectCache::onFocusChange):
* Source/WebCore/accessibility/AXObjectCache.h:
* Source/WebCore/accessibility/AccessibilityObject.cpp:
(WebCore::AccessibilityObject::pressPreservingFocus):
* Source/WebCore/accessibility/AccessibilityObject.h:

Canonical link: https://commits.webkit.org/317542@main",

The index of a marker is defined as
the number of characters before it in that walk; nextMarkerFromOffset
walks the same way until it has consumed that many characters. If the limit is reached, save() is a no-op and doesn't push new
states onto the stack. This is fine for most code, however it'll cause trouble for
CanvasFilterContextSwitcher as it requires a state save to change targetSwitcher:

std::unique_ptr<CanvasFilterContextSwitcher> CanvasFilterContextSwitcher::create(CanvasRenderingContext2DBase& context, const FloatRect& bounds)
{
    auto filter = [...];

    auto filterSwitcher = makeUnique<CanvasFilterContextSwitcher>(context);     <-- (a)
    auto targetSwitcher = CanvasLayerContextSwitcher::create(context, bounds, WTF::move(filter)); <-- (d)
    if (!targetSwitcher)
        return nullptr;

    context.modifiableState().targetSwitcher = WTF::move(targetSwitcher);       <-- (c)
    return filterSwitcher;
}

CanvasFilterContextSwitcher::CanvasFilterContextSwitcher(CanvasRenderingContext2DBase& context)
    : m_context(context)
{
    // (b)
    context.save();
    context.realizeSaves();
}

RefPtr<CanvasLayerContextSwitcher> CanvasLayerContextSwitcher::create(CanvasRenderingContext2DBase& context, const FloatRect& bounds, RefPtr<Filter>&& filter)
{
    ASSERT(!bounds.isEmpty());
    auto* effectiveDrawingContext = context.effectiveDrawingContext();  <-- (e)
    if (!effectiveDrawingContext)
        return nullptr;

    auto targetSwitcher = GraphicsContextSwitcher::create(*effectiveDrawingContext, bounds, context.colorSpace(), WTF::move(filter));
    if (!targetSwitcher)
        return nullptr;

    return adoptRef(*new CanvasLayerContextSwitcher(context, bounds, WTF::move(targetSwitcher)));
}

When the CanvasFilterContextSwitcher is created (a), it saves the current state (b),
so it can change targetSwitcher later (c). But if the state stack is exhausted, then
no states are pushed on the stack. In that case, the CanvasLayerContextSwitcher
created in (d) holds the drawing context (e) from the current effectiveDrawingContext,
aka the drawing context from the targetSwitcher at the top of the stack. Then (c)
overwrites the top targetSwitcher with the newly created one in (d). If the old
targetSwitcher is only kept alive by the top state, then overwriting it would free it.
But the new targetSwitcher holds a reference to the drawingContext of the targetSwitcher
that we just freed.

This patch fixes this by eliminating the state save. Instead, CanvasFilterContextSwitcher
holds onto the old targetSwitcher in top of stack when it's created, then replace it with
the new one. On destruction, it'll put the old one back. This ensures filtered drawing
would work regardless of stack exhaustion.

Test: fast/canvas/canvas-filtered-drawing-after-stack-exhaustion.html

* LayoutTests/fast/canvas/canvas-filtered-drawing-after-stack-exhaustion-expected.html: Added.
* LayoutTests/fast/canvas/canvas-filtered-drawing-after-stack-exhaustion.html: Added.
* Source/WebCore/html/canvas/CanvasFilterContextSwitcher.cpp:
(WebCore::CanvasFilterContextSwitcher::create):
(WebCore::CanvasFilterContextSwitcher::CanvasFilterContextSwitcher):
(WebCore::CanvasFilterContextSwitcher::~CanvasFilterContextSwitcher):
* Source/WebCore/html/canvas/CanvasFilterContextSwitcher.h:

Canonical link: https://commits.webkit.org/317546@main",

JSAsyncFromSyncIterator is now more complicated JS object. Since this
   is not observable to users, its currently-on-the-fly promise from
   `next()` etc., is only one! This means that we can do something
   similar to JSAsyncGenerator: having a current on-the-fly promise in
   JSAsyncFromSyncIterator and avoiding creating a new context each time.
   Furthermore, because JSAsyncFromSyncIterator's on-the-fly promise is
   only one at a time, we can have one slot in JSAsyncFromSyncIterator
   instead of a queue.
2. We add similar mechanism to JSAsyncGenerator's cooperative driving.
3. We move all of AsyncFromSyncIterator implementation from builtin JS
   to C++.

All microbenchmarks are neutral: we moved all of them to C++ and we
added fast path in C++, so still maintaining Its dedup loop checked whether the newly fetched record's key differed from
m_currentKeyForUniqueness before checking whether the fetch had reached the end of the result set.
On a freshly created cursor, m_currentKeyForUniqueness is default-constructed (Invalid type), which
compares equal to the terminal record's also-default-constructed key, so the key-mismatch check did
not fire and control fell through to the completed check, which returned false.
SQLiteIDBBackingStore::openCursor() treated that false as cursor-creation failure and surfaced an
UnknownError, even though a range with no matching records is a case the IndexedDB spec requires to
succeed with a null result.

Check completed first, before the key-mismatch check, and return true in that case, matching how the
non-unique (next/prev) path already reports end-of-results as success rather than failure. This only
changes behavior for the empty-range case: whenever m_currentKeyForUniqueness holds a real key from
a previously fetched record, the key-mismatch check already returned true ahead of the completed
check, since a real key can never equal the terminal record's default Invalid key.

Tests: storage/indexeddb/modern/cursor-unique-direction-empty-range-private.html
       storage/indexeddb/modern/cursor-unique-direction-empty-range.html

* LayoutTests/storage/indexeddb/modern/cursor-unique-direction-empty-range-expected.txt: Added.
* LayoutTests/storage/indexeddb/modern/cursor-unique-direction-empty-range-private-expected.txt: Added.
* LayoutTests/storage/indexeddb/modern/cursor-unique-direction-empty-range-private.html: Added.
* LayoutTests/storage/indexeddb/modern/cursor-unique-direction-empty-range.html: Added.
* LayoutTests/storage/indexeddb/modern/resources/cursor-unique-direction-empty-range.js: Added.
(done):
(prepareDatabase):
(runNextTest):
(emptyIndexRange):
(emptyObjectStoreRange):
(testIndexCursor.request.onsuccess):
(testIndexCursor.request.onerror):
(testIndexCursor):
(testObjectStoreCursor.request.onsuccess):
(testObjectStoreCursor.request.onerror):
(testObjectStoreCursor):
* Source/WebCore/Modules/indexeddb/server/SQLiteIDBCursor.cpp:
(WebCore::IDBServer::SQLiteIDBCursor::fetch):

Canonical link: https://commits.webkit.org/317559@main",

The
resulting JSArray has a tiny initial vector, so appending elements
repeatedly reallocates the butterfly (~56% of filter time spent in
ensureLengthSlow / reallocArrayRightIfPossible / memmove / memset).

ArrayAllocationProfile already learns the eventual vectorLength of the
last allocated array (capped at BASE_CONTIGUOUS_VECTOR_LEN_MAX = 25),
but NewArrayWithSize was not consuming it. This patch threads the
profile vectorLengthHint through NewArrayWithSpecies / NewArrayWithSize
into NewButterflyWithSize and uses it as the initial vectorLength while
keeping publicLength unchanged. Because the hint is adaptive and capped,
low-selectivity filters and small arrays do not over-allocate.

                                     Baseline                  Patched

array-prototype-filter-int32    119.0802+-0.6515     ^     70.6984+-1.3794        ^ definitely 1.6843x faster

* JSTests/microbenchmarks/array-prototype-filter-int32.js: Added.
* JSTests/stress/new-array-with-size-vector-length-hint.js: Added.
* Source/JavaScriptCore/dfg/DFGByteCodeParser.cpp:
(JSC::DFG::ByteCodeParser::parseBlock):
* Source/JavaScriptCore/dfg/DFGConstantFoldingPhase.cpp:
(JSC::DFG::ConstantFoldingPhase::foldConstants):
* Source/JavaScriptCore/dfg/DFGNode.cpp:
(JSC::DFG::Node::convertToNewArrayWithSize):
* Source/JavaScriptCore/dfg/DFGNode.h:
(JSC::DFG::Node::hasVectorLengthHint):
(JSC::DFG::Node::vectorLengthHint):
* Source/JavaScriptCore/dfg/DFGObjectAllocationSinkingPhase.cpp:
* Source/JavaScriptCore/dfg/DFGSpeculativeJIT.cpp:
(JSC::DFG::SpeculativeJIT::compileNewButterflyWithSize):
* Source/JavaScriptCore/ftl/FTLLowerDFGToB3.cpp:
(JSC::FTL::DFG::LowerDFGToB3::compileNewButterflyWithSize):

Canonical link: https://commits.webkit.org/317563@main",
